The Heart~breaker | MM Sports Romance (The Bromance Chronicles, Book 1): Alternate Book Cover: Rating: 🧔🏾‍♂️💪Introduction💪🧔🏾‍♂️: 🧔🏾‍♂️💪Hello dolls! Hoping all is well🤎! As for me, being my second time reading a book {ARC} by Billie Bloom, I must say that this one turned out much better than (The Rulebreaker}! At least for me anyway🤎🤎🤎! Plus with an MC of color too🤎🤎🤎? For sure👏👏👏! As usual, look at the notice section above to see if any of the listed subjects are a no for you! Moving along from that, here is a summary of this 😈🍆👅filthy ARC👅🍆😈 up next!💪🧔🏾‍♂️ 🧔🏾‍♂️💪Synopsis💪🧔🏾‍♂️: 🧔🏾‍♂️💪Both finishing their last year at Michigan State University, Chase Henry🧔🏾‍♂️{🏒💪Hockey Jock~Wealthy~Physics Major~Gay💪🏒} and Luca Kline🧔🏻{😈🛹Skateboarder~Not Wealthy~Skating Promos~bisexual🛹😈} are both trying to not only finish the year out strong, but with their concerns for their futures as well is enough to have both men overwhelmed. Yet, throw in some frat house parties, dinner dates, hanging out on campus, and 😈🍆👅majorly filthy time👅🍆😈 together, and you just might even dare to say these two could see something more than just being frat bros! Even so, will Luca stop being Mr. No Relationships and find a chance with Chase? Will Chase be true to himself not only with career choice, but his love as well that him and Luca may share🤎👅🤎👅🤎?💪🧔🏾‍♂️ 🧔🏾‍♂️💪What Was Good💪🧔🏾‍♂️: 🧔🏾‍♂️💪First and foremost, 🤎loved🤎 the fact one of the MC’s was a man of color! Hockey and wealthy no less👏👏👏! I say this since there is not a lot of POC representation within hockey itself, let alone being extremely wealthy. Now, as for what else I 🤎loved🤎 within this ARC: 😈🍆👅PURE FILTHINESS BETWEEN CHASE AND LUCA👅🍆😈, Chase’s love for physics~physic puns~and his shy nature at times, reality of what to do after college, reality of family expectations~issues, the frat atmosphere and the parties they had, and Chase pursuing his true dream within physics over hockey! As for Chase and Luca, they started off as frat brothers~exchanging sexual favors to caring for each other and their futures together. Even with how 😈🍆👅SMUTTY👅🍆😈 they were most of the time, I liked reading about their own personal issues and how they related in many ways to that. Not caring about the rich jock versus struggling skater troupe. I also enjoyed the college fun they had at parties the frat threw, doing projects together based on classes and hockey, and spending time doing activities together on campus🤎🤎🤎! Some of their frat friends~hockey friends were funny and horny of course 🤧. Also to note, 🤎loved🤎 how Chase not only went after his dream for his love of Physics, but as a POC as well? 🤎loved🤎 reading about his success and drive in doing so👏👏👏! So in all, with very 😈🍆👅smutty👅🍆😈 times, coupled with some fun and real~life ones, this ARC turned out overall to be a great one🤎🤎🤎!💪🧔🏾‍♂️ 🧔🏾‍♂️💪Critics/Improvements💪🧔🏾‍♂️: 🧔🏾‍♂️💪Even with how much I enjoyed the ARC {especially the 😈🍆👅filth👅🍆😈}, I must say that I found issues with: overuse of the words bae~babe and like, extra family drama with Luca that was not needed~especially near the end, the way Luca met Chase’s parents was a mess and didn’t like how he was semi~rude with Chase’s father the second~time around, and Gucci stirring up shit that caused Chase to get mad at Luca. I am not going to go over them since they are evident enough within the read and just too tired to do so. I will say though that Gucci {friend in the frat} was 🤌🏾extra~on top of extra~on a side order of extra🤌🏾. I didn’t care for how nosy and pushy he was trying to figure out if Chase and Luca were “dating”. Beyond annoying and shitty to be honest since he ran his mouth which again, caused the “break~up” between Chase and Luca🤦🏾‍♀️. So anyways, that was the major one I wanted to mention since it ticked me off somewhat. Plus the other issues as well. Yet, I still enjoyed this book🤎🤎🤎!💪🧔🏾‍♂️ 🧔🏾‍♂️💪Conclusion💪🧔🏾‍♂️: 🧔🏾‍♂️💪In all, this ARC had moments of fun, reality of fears~worries concerning life after college, family issues, and of course,😈🍆👅THE FILTHY SMUT~O~THONS👅🍆😈 BETWEEN THE MC’S! Again, enjoyed this one much better than book 0.5~novella🤎🤎🤎! As for The Tie~breaker | MM Sports Romance (The Bromance Chronicles, Book 2), I am curious and yet worried since I felt so~so about Gucci within this book 😐. {Major side~eye for Gucci’s ass coming up 👀}. Regardless, I am still curious enough to see how that one will pan out since it is your gay~flamboyant~Twink “charming” the supposedly straight~hockey jock👀. So again, enjoyed this one and would recommend checking this one out for the FILTHINESS and college life {💪🍆frat style🍆💪}! As always, hoping you all have your own smutty~goodness reads to leave you smoking😈👅🍆👅😈!💪🧔🏾‍♂️ 💪👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨The Bromance Chronicles👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨💪: The Rule~breaker | MM Sports Romance (The Bromance Chronicles, Book 0.5): https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... DNF @ 25% This is all me but I just couldn't keep the motivation to keep reading THE HEARTBREAKER. I liked the set up for the characters but the writing "voice" was a bit too chaotic and frat boyish for me which I know is silly because these are frat boys but I can't help the way I feel. I would still recommend this to anyone wanting to try it because I think other readers would find it very enjoyable. This aspect of their lives took just the right amount of place to enforce the story and give it some drive. I liked the whole post-college questioning part. Chase and Luca's choices were quite unexpected and that's what made it really entertaining. There were a few twists and turns, but the boys were what made this book very enjoyable. These two were so good together. They had such an amazing chemistry! Chase was very supportive of Luca and confided in him, while Luca let himself lean on Chase and fell for the steady jock. I loved how they showed their vulnerability to each other. They were both out of their comfort zone actually, but they brought trust and hope into their relationship and shared beautiful - and very steamy - moments. The resolution was maybe a bit too easy, but it was satisfying to see the boys in love and chasing their dreams. Besides, I'm more of a low-angst girl😉 I'm excited to read Gucci's story - even if I wanted to hit him at the bar. Both times! I guess there will be a lot of fun in the next book. Am I sensing a fake boyfriend trope?!

Good read https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2021... ***Spoilers splash here and there*** This was a nice little story. It took Chase to come into … no it took Luca to ask for Chase laptop in order for them to. Find love in each other. I’m glad they had a happy ending in the end. Plus I can’t wait to read Johnny and Gucci story. Plus I want to know what Gucci real name is… because I wonder if that’s his actual name.

Super second book in a series The writing is better then the first book and the story was so good. I really enjoyed reading this one. It’s fast read with just the right amount of side characters not to affect the story but to keep you wanting more. 5/5 ⭐️ for book 2 in the series now on to the next one

Chase is a rich kid who plays hockey and studies physics. He has never felt sexual toward anyone but has figured out that he's gay and is freaked out with what he feels for Luca, who hooks up with lots of people but doesn't do relationships. Their families are mildly problematic, their careers are complicated. I love stories with a virgin man. Seeing him develop with Luca's guidance and love makes me ragged with delight. Seeing Luca allow himself to love and be loved is heartbreaking and full of joy. They get a lovely happy ending too! Billie Bloom makes it very real and touching and sometimes funny; such a treat! I dug this book. I liked the the differences between Chase & Luca & some of the 🔥 scenes were hot. (I always like the newbies). At times, I had a hard time remembering who’s chapter it was so I got a little hung up on that at times. I’ll have to go back & look but it was an editing issues where it was supposed to be coming from Chase’s POV but it was spoken as if it was Luca.

The Heartbreaker by Billie Bloom is a steamy New Adult sports romance between two frat brothers. I read the prequel novella to this series and loved the characters in that one but was missing the story, so I was hoping to love the characters again in this one but get the bonus of a story because it's a full length. Bisexual and proud, he didn't do commitments because he had way too much on his plate already. Even though he doesn't do relationships, when he decides on Chase he definitely shows up and lays his cards on the table. It's not that Chase was a bad character, I just didn't fully get him. Was he supposed to be on the asexual spectrum? I don't know, but his thing was that he was never sexual interested in anyone before now and just out of the blue was having sexual urges which he chooses to explore with Luca...riiiight 🤔 The story has quality steam and sexual tension between our two main characters. I liked how Chase didn't just jump right into being comfortable being intimate with a man, and that they took their time with their exploration. I'll be honest, both characters kind of lost me around the 60% mark. At which point they became so ridiculously immature it felt out of character. Then they never really came back personality wise for me, it just felt like they were completely different characters than they were in the first half of the book. Unless I'm wrong and just wasn't paying attention in the beginning lol Anyway while I didn't love this as much as I expected to, I'll still read more in the series. I know the next book is about Gucci and Johnny, but I'll be keeping an eye out for Sams book, he better get one!!! Content Warnings: drugs & alcohol.

I have watched ‘Dogtown and Z Boys’ many times, so the skating plotline was interesting. This book was a delight and the lightly sprinkled angst was germane to the lives of these young men, both anxious about their futures post college and their growing need to be together. Chase was an awesome hot jock and brilliant student and sweetie. So prep with his lifestyle, I loved it. Luca was a fire hottie on a skateboard. Loved his attitude and the hidden vulnerability in his inner thoughts about all his responsibilities to others. This was a great couple of MCs! There were so many excellent scenes in this book! I won’t be forgetting Chase leaping out of the shower and running down the hall nude, except for small towel, to stop frat brother Luca from seeing the gay porn on Chase’s borrowed computer. Hilarious and oh, so hot! I thoroughly enjoyed every page of this New Year read.

A Good Combination . . . The chemistry between Luca and Chase starts right at the beginning in the fun scenario where Chase is showering. Luca hollers that he is in dire need of a laptop because his died right before he finished what he had to turn in at class. Yet both would move out of their comfort zone and fall in love. So for me, the humor and the emotions made this a fun book to read. I love falling in love, and their realization of what was happening was cute. Both had a few family issues to deal with too to give us a better understanding of the characters and pressures in their lives. Overall, I think these two were really good together. I could feel the trust they shared and the comfort of relying on each other day to day.

So hot and heartfelt and hopeful The Rulebreaker was a decent story but wasn't perfect, though the writing was good and made me want to read more by Billie Bloom. Keeping me reading, unable to put it down even when I should have been asleep, I loved this book and can't wait for the next book when I assume Gucci will redeem himself because he certainly didn't cover himself in glory in this one.

I finished it. On a real note, this book was god awful, this has just been sitting on my kindle for months at 28% before I just decided fuck it , I’ll finish it. I only had about an hour read because this book is really short, and hour turned more into 30 minutes with the amount of chapters I skimmed. There simply was no natural character development and the plot was essentially none existent. This definitely threads the line of fetishizing gay men. The sex was not by any means Steamy, it was kind I finished it. Nothing happened. It’s like this book was a rough draft, needed to be way longer, I can get past shitty writing but I can’t get past writing a romance with no romance???

Chase and Luca’s romance is full of sweet moments (and plenty of hot ones as well). Both have huge opportunities with their skilled trade (one a pro-skater the other possible pro/semipro hockey player.) Despite all that, they find themselves drawn to one another. There are some laughs. Some steamy scenes. Not too much in the heartache department, but there is a little bit of a break-up/make-up. It alternates between POVs, and you get a few glimpses of other couples from previous and future books in this series of stand alones. It's a quick and easy read.

Liked it, 3.5 stars Definitely an improvement from the prequel. The timing is weird. Just know that you will never be able to make heads or tails of it. I liked seeing Parker and Grayson again but that was confusing too because I'm not sure how well their story in this book matched up with the first book. That wasn't a huge issue for me. I enjoyed reading about Luca and Chase's relationship as it developed. Their "meet-cute" at the beginning was very funny. After reading Rulebreaker (the short novella and first book in this series), I needed more of this author and boys. Un-put-downable Another amazing, un-put-downable installment... In actuality the first book in the series (unless you count the prequel) but I'm in awe of this author... Pulling together a brilliant story arch as well as the characters, the relationships, the uniquely different take on jocks and the even better take on intimacy. This book had me smiling, had my heart aching and my heart warming at some of these characters antics... Devouring two books by this author in one day is a new feet. Well Un-put-downable Another amazing, un-put-downable installment... In actuality the first book in the series (unless you count the prequel) but I'm in awe of this author... This one was so much better than the novella. Chase just figured out he was gay. He is attracted to his fellow frat brother Luca. He's a hockey player. Luca is bi-sexual and doesn't do relationships. But he finds himself attracted to Chase. He's a skateboarder. I really enjoyed this story. These two were really perfect for each other. Luca never really felt like anyone cared for him and Chase was constantly there caring for him. Luca is always showing Chase new things. He's proud of who he is. DNF @ 18% Unlike Trouble on Top, Nice Guys Finish Last is a full length story instead of a novella. This should have been a good thing except I can't bring myself to give a single fuck about Chase, a poor rich boy, who can't admit to his parents he wants to quit hockey, or Luca, a poor skateboard star with a huge social media following, who is getting sick of his sponsors and having to come up with new video content every week. I just can't with these two, I have zero sympathy for either and no i DNF @ 18% Unlike Trouble on Top, Nice Guys Finish Last is a full length story instead of a novella. I thought that this was a fantastic book. I loved Chase and Luca together. I really enjoyed the connection and chemistry between these two. Chase has to make some life changes and scared of what people will think of him while Luca is being pulled in several different directions. Both Chase and Luca find calmness with each other and help but seek each other out. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next book. I would recommend this book and Billie Bloom as an awesome author. I receive I thought that this was a fantastic book. I loved Chase and Luca together. Chase is just really seeing what he likes for the first time while Luca is playing fields far and wide. Neither wants a relationship, but they certainly start falling into one. It is not a slow burn, but they don’t dive in either. Parts are very sweet. Luca does not have the easiest family life. Chase is working toward things he has not shared with many people, but now has to since he is graduating. I am really liking this series. This nice guy is determined to finish first Nice Guys Finish First is the second book in the Bromance Chronicles series and is an entertaining and steamy MM romance. There is a bit of an overarching story-line in the series and character crossover, but I still think this book can be read as a stand-alone. The story was more than I had expected but in a good way, with some interesting things happening. I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

omg loved!!! This story was adorable. Love chase and Luca. They are both sweet guys and it was a hilarious moment at the start. With chase racing out of the shower to steal his lotto back he allowed Luca to borrow for school. Realizing he just recently was watching so spicy make on male porn material. Loved how they helped one another. And went slow. Their slow burn kinda insta chemistry was hot. So steamy with Luca helping chase learn all the things. Can’t wait for more!!

Acting out 4.5 I liked this short romance which is tender, steamy, with characters who prove to each other to be the one they want, but here, it's the youngest who is more ready, certain on what he wants and that he will do everything to get it. I found the de-dramatization of a coming out interesting, even the reality of the characters is not the reality of everyone else. Chase and Luca are roommates who are learning more and more about one another as their story progresses. Luca learns that Chase is into guys and sees roommates with benefits opportunity. Chase has feelings and wants to see if they can be more than just proximity convenient. Their relationship deepens over time in a slow burn from friends to lovers to relationship. The characters and the story both needed more development (it's written in alternating first person but it was often hard to tell who was speaking). The writing and editing were very sloppy. Also, one of the MCs is supposed to be Black (I think??). The reader's only clues to this are some early (and lame) attempts at dialect, 2 references to curly hair, and the other MC admiring Luca's "tan" skin. I loved this book. The chemistry between Luca and Chase was scorching! I loved watching their relationship bloom from frat brothers and friends to something more. This book caught my attention from the start and I couldn't put it down. Well written and well paced. My first read from this author. I will be back for more. 5 stars. I loved this book.
